Prof. Rachid, an ecologist and biodiversity expert, served as the Executive Director of MBLA from its creation until the end of 2024. During his tenure, he led the organization’s day-to-day operations, managed biodiversity conservation projects, and strengthened the capacity of MBLA’s Community Researchers. He also played a pivotal role in building and maintaining relationships with local, national, and international partners.

He currently serves as a Technical Advisor and Lead of Scientific Research at MBLA, while also holding a position as a Professor at Cadi Ayyad University’s Faculty of Science of Semlalia in Marrakech, where he completed his PhD in Ecology and Environment.
